Sakura Matsuri – A Celebration of Japanese Culture

Experience the vibrancy of Japanese traditions at Sakura Matsuri, a festival showcasing an incredible range of cultural activities and demonstrations.

Enjoy Kabuki performances, a stunning Kimono Show, bonsai workshops, Taiko drumming, sumo wrestling, Japanese archery, origami, martial arts, dancers, choir performances, kintsugi, ikebana, tea ceremonies, and more!

 

Explore the bustling stalls filled with delicious food, unique goods, and engaging activities for children—making it a day the whole family will love.

Important Notice:
While the Garden is usually dog-friendly, Sakura Matsuri is our busiest day of the year, with large crowds and high-energy performances. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors,
dogs will not be permitted inside the Garden during this event (Assistance dogs allowed)

SAKURA SUNDAY - WORKSHOPS

Can’t make it on Saturday? Join us for Sakura Sunday, where workshops will offer a hands-on experience in Japanese arts and traditions. This year’s sessions include Eco Scarf Dyeing, Terrarium Workshops, Kintsugi Workshop, and more to be announced! Stay tuned as we release further details.
