Festivities are from 9.00 am ~ 4.00 pm 

This September, experience the magic of spring at Sakura Matsuri in Cowra, a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture, cherry blossoms, and one of Australia’s most remarkable stories of peace and reconciliation.

Why Cowra ? 

Celebrate the beauty of spring at the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre, with the annual Sakura Matsuri. Inspired by Japan's cherished cherry blossom season, the festival marks the spectacular blooming of the Garden's cherry trees and celebrates the enduring friendship between Australia and Japan

Festival Dining

Our full culinary line-up will be announced soon, with more delicious additions still to come.

Throughout the festival, the Cowra Japanese Garden Café will be open daily, serving breakfast from 8.30am–11am and lunch from 11am–2pm. From 2pm–5pm, the café continues to offer barista-made coffee, slices and cakes, along with a selection of refreshing beverages so you can unwind and enjoy the gardens all afternoon.
